Eager to get some experience in ‘my field’ of marketing and media, one day I stumbled upon this advert for a Marketing and Events Sale Assistant job which didn’t require 5 years of past experience, none at all actually, so I went ahead and applied. Immediately I got a response back to come for a meet and greet. Unknowingly I met the founder of the company and he seemed really impressed how motivated and ambitious I was, so I moved on to the next level and had to attend an all day induction.

I was told that it would be from 9am to 6pm, and after 6pm I was free to go home.

So I turned up looking all smart at 9am to their office (which frankly looked like someone's house, a very mediocre one) and after filling out some forms, and waiting for a long time I met my mentor, and the two young guys he was working with and teaching. We then took the tube and DLR to Lewisham where they were holding their ‘event’. Now no-one had previously told me what their events were, turns out it was one of them things where you have a gazebo and you stand in the middle of a shopping centre selling pointless shit to people walking past. Oh but noooo, we were outside the shopping centre, and even though it was July, it was freezing cold and raining, and I was in the worlds thinnest top and blazer, no-one had told me that from 10:30am to 6pm I would have to sit outside and observe them whilst completing a bunch of useless tasks. (Well not completely useless, I’ll come back to that later). Anyway, so they set up their old and broken gazebo, but it was so windy that it kept falling apart, and my mentor instructed me to go sit on a bench in the rain and watch what they do. I thought fine, whatever. I sat for about an hour and a half in the cold, rain and wind and was questioning everything, and the way that they were working was so patronising. Like, a person would walk by, they would approach them and the customer said they weren’t interested but they would still follow them and persist… and I’m sorry for being a bitch but whenever sales people approach me I tell them nicely that I’m not interested, but if they continue to follow me I just tell them to fuck off. Anyway, I wasn’t a fan of the job to say the least.

At that point, my mentor probably took pity on me and let me go sit in Burger King where I could complete my tasks that he set, they were:

Where do you see yourself in the future
Why should we hire you
What can you bring to the company
Create a 5 year plan for a business of your choice
15 of my strengths, and 5 of my weaknesses
30 ways to be successful
Learn 5 stages of selling
Learn 8 steps to becoming successful
And some more bullshit I can’t remember now…

Well creating the business plan made me realise that I am more than capable of starting my own business by myself if I just worked my ass off, and all the other tasks just helped me to develop and actually put in effort into my answers for future job applications or interview questions, so I have all that ready, they just need a few tweaks, so that’s one positive that came out of this.

So anyway, I was back in Burger King working on one of the tasks, and my mentor comes in for the so-called ‘lunch’ that I was promised. No it wasn’t a lunch, it was more of an attempt to brainwash me… I’m not kidding.
So he explained the company to me and how it works.

So when you first start our you’re in phase 1. This is basically where you stand and sell TalkTalk to people walking by, and it’s 100% commission, so if you’re unsuccessful, you’re screwed and probably homeless.
But once you fulfil all the criteria which is pretty damn basic, you move up to phase 2, (which can take anywhere from 4 weeks to months.) Here you hold your own events and you’re a mentor to the new employees.
Once you fulfil all the criteria you move on to phase 3 where you’re assistant assistant manager, honestly I don’t remember what you do there.
Anyway, if you’re motivated and good enough you move on to phase 4, where you open up your own company, have a Bentley and make lots of money……

Now my mentor told me that it’s completely possible for me to reach phase 4 in 6-12 months. Thats right!!! I could have my own company with my own clients and drive a Porsche and earn a lot of money in only 6-12 months…. Sounds too good to be true? No, they reassured me many many many times that it’s completely possible.

Now….. How many millionaires do you know that have started out selling TalkTalk in a run down shopping centre in Lewisham? Please enlighten me. So I did what any responsible mature adult would do, and called my mum. She was like “??? are you listening to what you're telling me? Do Not be an idiot, don’t do it” and I agreed. I was tempted to just go home, but no, I decided to stick around and see if they saw potential in me and whether I would officially get hired and what's next.

So 6pm finally comes around and only just then LEAVE LEWISHAM to go back to the office… We go to the office and due to some issue everyone is locked out. So we stand outside of this house for about 40 minutes in the cold waiting for god knows what. Anyway, we eventually get in, fill out more forms and a quiz about what we learnt today blah blah, and hand it my forms. Now, my mentor was the only one to come back to me and make me change my answers to make me stand out…

After more waiting I had my final interview with one of the managers. At this point I was tired, still cold, moody and just fed up, I didn’t want the job and didn’t have enough energy to even pretend I did. The manager told me that I didn’t look like I wanted this that much and I said I did it’s just that I had my doubts just because it was commission only and I was worried. He continued to tell me that if what they do wasn’t effective or successful would TalkTalk continue working with them? Now, if you were such a successful and an established business, would TalkTalk be your only client? But I kept my mouth shut.
He left the room and came back, said he had his doubts about me because I didn’t look like I wanted it enough and he asked me how I would prove that I want this… This was the only time in my life where I was just speechless after an interviewer asked me a question, I just didn’t know what to say, and I don’t remember what ended up saying.

Anyway, he left the room and came back again and then offered me the job.

Then my mentor walked me out, I was forced to exchange phone numbers and I was due to come back Wednesday morning 7am to sign some papers and shit. Now he said he’d call me the next day to confirm. So I finally left the office after 8:40pm!!! And a few hours later got a text from some number saying they were excited to work with me. Wasn’t my mentor because I had his name saved so I don’t know who it was.

I didn’t reply.
I didn’t go that Wednesday 7am.

All day they made it seem like this was one in a lifetime opportunity, that it was such a competitive position, and also that they really wanted me. Bullshit. Just bullshit.

Some red flags that I ignored from the start:

Their office looked like a house.
We had to take the tube to lewisham rather than company cars (pretty sure if you’re a successful company, they provide transport, no?)
No bentleys parked outside the office either.
They wanted me a little to eagerly.
They were only selling TalkTalk and not doing a great job of it

So I learnt a lot that day… Surely it shouldn’t be legal taking advantage of naive young people promising them the whole world within 6-12 months and delivering nothing.

And bless my poor mentor, he has similar dreams to me, live in New York, expensive car, own business, huge penthouse etc etc and he actually believes that this is the ONLY way to get that, and I told him that that there are other ways and he disagreed.

So moral of the story, if it sounds too good to be true, it 100% is. Get out while you can. I never signed any documents or provided them with my passport/NI number so it wasn’t too late.

I did it! I moved to London and started university (back in September) and it's now almost been 3 months later and all I have to say is that - I'm loving life! London is the place for me. I love how busy it is, I love how there's always something happening and I just love the atmosphere. I know that some of my friends and family from back home have found London way too busy overwhelming, but honestly it's the best decision that I made. Even though it does get a little lonely sometimes, there's always something to do to take your mind off things.

I am just so glad that I was able to move out from home and experience living on my own (well with flatmates) and just learning to take care off myself, and it has been going pretty well.
I feel extremely lucky to have the flatmates that I do just because all of them are pretty amazing people and we all get on well. The whole university experience has been pretty incredible. I have learnt so many new things, being one of the youngest people here I felt like I didn't have enough life experience but that's slowly changing. I remember the first day of moving here, I got homesick after about 2 hours, but that shortly went away as I met new people and made some friends. Not going to lie, it was hard to try and balance a social life and university work (especially since I'm the biggest procrastinator you'd ever meet) but so far so good.

Ah! Where do I even begin? How about: I MET MY FAVOURITE BAND! You heard me! I was able to meet my favourite band Catfish and the Bottlemen! I was so very nervous, my legs were shaking uncontrollably whist talking to them, and I may have proclaimed my eternal love for them which now just seems creepy, oops. This happened in the signing tent so no photos were allowed so I only managed to get a sneaky photo of them signing someone else's photo.

But I met them, I spoke to them and I shook Van's hand! Sorry I sound like such a fan girl but they're my favourite! Then later than evening I saw them perform, literally it was the best day of my life. I am seeing them in November in concert, so I'm determined to somehow get a photo with them.

But anyway, the rest was the festival was pretty incredible! I got to see so many bands that I love like Years & Years, Panic! At The Disco, Gaslight Anthem, Alt J, Don Broco, Echosmith, Pvris, All Time Low (briefly), Bastille, Limp Bizkit, Metallica and so so many more that I can't even name them all now. So it is safe to say that the music was pretty damn good.
The Arena ft Funfair

All Time Low

Catfish and The Bottlemen

Olly from Years & Years

This was also my first time camping out, and it was pretty fun. I am quite an easily adaptable person so I didn't find it hard as I can fall asleep anywhere and anytime. I also met some very cool people who are also into the same bands that I am into, so that was nice.

Even though I almost got crushed in the mosh pit, rained on until I was soaked, got covered in mud and I won't get over how awful the campsite toilets and showers were or the amount of people that approach you looking to buy certain things, but nevertheless this was one of the most amazing weekends I have ever had. It was just such an incredible experience and I cannot wait to go back next year!

So the festival season is pretty much over, yes, however I have just got back from my first music festival which was Reading Festival 2015 and it was incredible! (a whole post about my experience will be posted shortly) and I thought to make a list of all the essential things that were really useful or that I should have taken to avoid spending more money than needed just as a guideline for next time. Hopefully this will help you too.

1) Wellies
I was that stupid person that thought I wouldn't need them just because there was a little bit of rain, so I just wore my Doc Marten boots, and oh my God was that a HUGE mistake! There were HUGE puddles of just pure mud that we had to walk through and I got mud even inside my boots which took forever to clean. Then the next morning I ran to the supermarket so I could buy some wellies.

2) Phone/Camera

3) Money
Food and everything else is ridiculously overpriced, so you would need quite a bit of cash to just feed yourself.

4) Toilet Paper
The toilets were so much worse than I expected, so if you get the chance to purchase luxury toilet passes or whatever, do it!

5) Wet wipes
Some showers can be absolutely disgusting, so wet wipes will become your new best friend.

6) Dry Shampoo
As some showers can be disgusting, you will need to think alternative ways to make your hair look fresh.

7) Flip-flops
If you do use the showers, you really don't want to be standing there barefoot. Some girls even wore their wellies. Also a swimming costume or a bikini will be handy as showers tend to be communal.

8) Portable Charger

9) Ear plugs or headphones
It was pretty much noisy 24/7 so if you're trying to get some sleep, you will need something to block out the sound.

10) Plenty of socks
What's more uncomfortable than having to wear wet socks?

11) Outfits for every type of weather
You can never accurately predict the weather. The weekend that we went it was meant to be just rain, but it was quite sunny and warm for the most part, so a variety of outfits will be beneficial.

12) A small bag to take to the arena
Don't be that person that takes a huge backpack into the arena which then ends up hitting other people. Take a small bag which can fit your phone and some money and you're set.

13) Torch

14) Blanket
I took a blanket as well as a sleeping bag and I was so glad that I did because it was very chilly at night.

15) Pillow
Unless you're comfortable sleeping on the floor, a pillow is very handy to prevent various neck-aches in the morning. Whether that's an inflatable pillow, or just a pillowcase stuffed with clothes, it comes in handy.

'Ariel' is a such an inspirational book about a funny and quirky woman who has hit 'Rock Bottomville' and tries to get her life back on track. The book highlights the importance of family relationships, as well as honesty - not only to others, but also to yourself.

Ariel Morton had the perfect life. She had the perfect penthouse apartment, a wonderful boyfriend and a great job. However, after one unfortunate heartbreak, she had lost everything and she isolated herself from her friends.
Ariel was 34 years old and stuck in a rut. Working at a job she didn't particularly enjoy, being isolated, and having a strained relationship with her family - she clearly missed her old life.
With the help of a mentor and 'Colin' she began her journey of trying to get her life back on track. By being honest and open with others, she managed to amend her relationship with her siblings and she realised that her family were always there for her no matter what. Ariel managed to find herself and figure out what she wanted in life. Did she still want her old luxurious life back? Or was she starting an adventure for something new?

Now, what I love about this story is that Ariel is such a relatable character. For me personally, I was able to really identify with her which helped me to put everything into perspective. Ariel is a little bit older than me, however the struggles that she goes through, I understood. This book teaches you that you are in charge of your own future, and that denying and lying is not the way to get out of the rut. But admitting and taking responsibility for your actions is. While not all of us have the help from the Muse Agency, all of us are capable of turning our lives around and reinventing ourselves. The book also teaches you that even though your relationship with others may be strained, if you reach out to them, they may surprise you.

While this is a great story of Ariel's journey, I just wish there was more of her and Colin's story at the end as I was very intrigued about how their relationship would go once Ariel had made up her mind and Duncan was out of the picture for good. I wonder if everything worked out and they lived happily ever after. Also Ariel's hope of getting revenge on Duncan after being apart for three years was a bit out of character I thought, as getting another man to make him jealous was quite an amateur move - especially when her and Colin were clearly interested in each other. But then again, I kind of understand as Duncan did suddenly throw away 10 years of their lives together and she was still hurting.

Other than that, 'Ariel' is an amazing story and her journey is truly inspiring. The description of the characters and the settings really helped to make the book come to life. I would definitely recommend it for anyone as it is a great read. I am so glad I got the chance to read this book. A great book by a great author.

We all just want to be happy in life, right? And I believe that it's the little things in life that can make you the most happiest. So this is just a list of 20 little things that make me the most happy in life.

1) Spending time with a loved one

2) Not being able to sleep because you're too excited about something

3) The smell of coffee

4) Strangers smiling at you

5) Long phone calls with a friend

6) Having a solo dance party in my room by myself

7) The smell of grass after it has just been cut

8) Waking up in the middle of the night and realising it's only 3:11am and you can go back to sleep

9) When cats purr

10) Reconnecting with old friends

11) Looking back through old photos

12) Spontaneous last minute plans with someone

13) Looking at the stars at night

14) Long car journeys

15) A cold shower on a hot day

16) Falling asleep to the sound of rain

17) Sunsets

18) Having someone you can depend on

19) Not having to set an alarm for the morning

20) Listening to music

These are just a few. Creating this list just made me realise how you don't need a big fancy car or a mansion to just be happy in life. It's the little things that count the most. As long as you surround yourself with the right people, anything is possible.
What is something that makes you happy?

1. There's going to be a boy that gets away, it will hurt - a lot, but eventually it's going to be OK.

2. Experiences are worth more than possessions.

3. Taking a nap may seem like a good idea until you wake up and feel confused about what day or month it is.

4. Do not get involved with guys that just want to 'come over' instead of taking you out.

5. Always go with your gut feeling. Your intuition speaks louder than anyone's words.

6. It's not too late to turn your life around.

7. Take photos of everything and anything. It's fun to look back and remember.

8. However don't spend every second trying to capture a moment that you should be experiencing.

9. You're going to have toxic friends, just try to distance yourself from them.

10. It's perfectly fine to be alone sometimes.

11. When you miss someone, you're only going to remember the good times and not how they mistreated you. Be careful before going back.

12. Time goes past ridiculously fast, so make the most of it.

13. Do things for yourself, do not expect anyone else to do it for you.

14. There will always be people that don't like you, get over it.

15. Last minute spontaneous plans usually turn out to be the best ones.

16. Do not change yourself for anyone else but you.

17. Take a risk. It will make one hell of a story.

 18. Life is too short to be unhappy.

Yesterday my mum and I went to Leamington for some lunch and we stumbled across this cute French Bistro called Pierre. Now, I haven't been to a French restaurant for around 4 years as the last time I have been to one was in Park City, USA and back then I tried a pie full of snails...Yes. So I was quite cautious this time.

The restaurant itself was quite fancy but still very cosy and frankly very affordable.

So as I was playing it safe with food I ordered the Burger Maison (Translation: House Burger. Who says high school French isn't useful?) which was pretty damn good! It was cooked perfectly and had huge slices of pickles which I love!! The fries were also super delicious and they looked quite crispy but they were really soft and yummy. As for the salad, I'm a huge lover of all salad apart from one type and that is rocket salad, and this contained a whole bunch of rockets but I still ate it, the burger took away the bitter taste. So apart from the rockets, everything else was absolutely lovely.

For dessert I had the Chocolate Tart (It was as actually called something fancy in French but I forgot) with raspberry coulis. It was really good!
Whenever I hear raspberry coulis It always reminds me of that episode of Friends when Joey orders a cheesecake and then questions the waiter about it "There seems to be some sort of red crap on my cheesecake" which always has me in hysterics - Anyway I hope you know what I'm talking about.
But yes, we had pretty nice lunch and definitely better than my last time having French Food, snails are not that nice believe it or not and they do not taste like mushrooms! As many people like to say. I am definitely visiting Pierre again.

What is your favourite cuisine?

It is already the middle of April which means I have approximately twenty-two days until my exams start. I am currently doing my second year of A-Levels and these grades will determine whether or not I can get into university. I am taking Economics, Media Studies and Applied Business and I have got to do 7 exams in the next two month and I am nowhere close to being prepared.

Now if you're expecting this to be an inspirational post, I'm afraid I'm gonna disappoint you, however, what I can give you advise about what not to do and you tell you to learn from my mistakes.

I was always one of those people that found everything quite simple and school work always came really easy to me, I never studied outside of school when I was taking my GCSE's and I managed to pass those with pretty good grades. When it came to Sixth Form I kinda assumed the same thing and did not revise for my first AS exams and boy was that a BIG mistake. I am not sure if any of you are familiar with the UK grading system, but to go from GCSE's to A-Level's is a HUGE step and if you struggle to keep up at the start, chances are (in my case anyway) you're gonna struggle all year. Anyway I tried my best when it came to exams even though I did the minimal amount of revision and I'm not going to lie to you, I was pretty damn disappointed when it came to results day whilst everyone was celebrating their high grades. I unfortunately did not pass Maths Statistics (which I had taken last year) which had meant that I could not continue with the course, which was completely fine as you're meant to drop a subject at A2, but this had meant that I had to continue studying Business, which I hate! I mean as a subject I think it's great and I think it would be quite useful to have as a degree later down in life, however I really do not like the way it is taught at my school and the approach that the teachers take here. This time last year I was winging my way through all my business essays thinking that I would not continue with the subject this year, but life has a cruel sense of humour and it had meant that I had to continue with the subject. Me being me I kinda just sucked it up and powered through with it.

Since I dislike the subject I felt extremely demotivated when it came to coursework and obviously I had left it until the very last minute. So for the last four days I could not go to sleep before three in the morning because I was trying my best to finish and hand it in on time. There were so many times where I contemplated dropping the subject and even dropping out of school, but my friends gave me a reality check each time. So this moment in time I still have a couple of units outstanding which are due next week, but with the amount that I have been working I have no doubt that I will get it done.

It's funny because the reason that I did not do it before is because I had no motivation what so ever! And I mean zero! And I knew what it would mean to fail and I knew that the stakes were high but somehow I found myself not caring and I could not change the way I was feeling. All it took for me to get motivated is one of my teachers being nice to me after I handed in unfinished work. That just made me feel bad that I wasted her time and made me want to succeed, I honestly can't explain it because if she would have been annoyed I would have been like whatever I don't care but this way I somehow did. And because I really want to go to uni and do a year abroad in my second year, that kinda motivated me also.

Anyway, so once coursework is completely out of the way, I'm hoping after next week - I will seriously focus on my exams because I do not want to feel the way I did on the last results day. I am stressing like crazy but I kinda think I can do it? I don't even know.

Now I am literally the most unmotivated person ever, but if I can find a little bit of motivation no matter where it comes from - anyone can! Honestly if you're still reading this, I'm telling if I can overcome severe procrastination and finish my work (even if it is last minute) I honestly feel like anyone can! Just have the right intentions and it will come to you. So if you have exams coming up, please just revise, at least a little bit - you have nothing left to lose and Youtube videos will always be here after your exams.
Make your years at school count for something by achieving those grades and do what you want with your life.

Have you ever woken up and just felt blah? You're not alone, we all have them days - whether you woke up feeling so or you have had a long/bad day, whatever the reason these are a few things that help make everything just a little better.

1) Go for a walk.
The fresh air and light exercise will help relax your mind. Personally I love taking my dog for a really long walk whilst listening to my iPod, this just helps me unwind, reflect on life and always makes me feel better.

2) Listen to your favourite song/album.
This always lifts my mood, and because I am a a bit weird I like to create a music video in my head in which I'm obviously the star in. Sounds silly, but it works. If you also listen to something that brings back happy memories for you, that's instantly a mood lifter.

3) Go outside.
Similar to my first point but if I'm not in the mood to go anywhere if it's too late or whatever, I love just stepping out into my garden and getting some fresh air. One of my favourite things to do is to go outside when it's dark and when you can see the stars, it just makes everything seem insignificant and your worries sometimes just disappear. Being stuck inside all day usually makes me grumpy especially if I don't have plans that day, but if you spend it laying in your garden in the sun - it won't seem like a waste of a day.

4) Watch your favourite comedy film.
No matter what is going on in my life I can always count on watching my favourite comedy and laugh uncontrollably. My favourite is The Other Women and the bush scene with Carly and Kate outside Amber's house gets me every single time. If you watch a film that you have seen before with someone that you love; whether that is your significant other or just a friend, it will remind you of the first time you saw it with them which should uplift your mood.

5) Look back through old photos.
I don't know about you but this never fails to put me in a good mood, it just reminds me of all the fun adventures I have had which just makes me happy. I always take photos of anything and everything and screenshot everything that makes me happy because I find it really fun to later on look back and remember everything that I felt at that time.

6) Call a friend.
Do not underestimate what calling a loved one may do to your mood, or just texting them. Just to hear their voice makes me feel better and calms me down. Just talk to them about anything and everything and I guarantee you'll put the phone down with a smile on your face.

7) Tidy or organize your living space.
If you're anything like me, once your bedroom and everything is organized, neat, tidy and put together I feel as though I have my life together. Sounds odd but it's true, if the physical aspects in your life are in their place, it will help you feel better emotionally. Plus everything will be nice and tidy which is always nice.

8) Put on your favourite outfit and do your makeup/hair how you like it.
Looking good and being happy with how you look will instantly lift your mood. When you go out, people will notice your confidence which will help you feel better, or even if you don't have any plans, snap a few selfies and call it a day.

9) Take a bubble bath.
These are relaxing, fun and help calm you down (try to not fall asleep though).

10) Make a list of things that make you happy
Reflecting on the things that make you happy can be a mood lifter just because you realize how simple little things in life can cheer you up.

Life is full of lessons and mistakes, and it is your choice whether you learn from them or make them again. However some things take longer or can be harder to understand than others.

1) You cannot rely on anyone else to make you happy.
As a young and naive teenager I used to think that I needed other people to make me happy. For them to invest time in me and to cheer me up when I was sad, and it took me a long time to understand that at the end of the day it is YOU who has YOUR back and it is YOU who should look out for YOU. It is no-one's job to look after you because they're too busy being invested in themselves, so pick yourself up because your happiness depends on you and your own actions.

2) One person can change your life in a day and that's OK.
I am not talking about finding 'the one' I am talking about meeting that one person that somehow manages to suddenly change your life for the better and make you believe in things you never thought were possible. They give you an entire different outlook on life and change the way you think; so even though everything about you is changed forever - that is completely okay because that just means you're growing as a person.

3) Some people will not like you, learn to accept it.
You cannot make everyone in your life like you and chances are not everyone is going to, but that might say more about them as a person than you. It is not your job to please everyone, so as long as you're doing what you're suppose to - do not pay attention to what anyone else thinks because they're opinions should not be relevant to you.

4) The idea of 'perfect' does not exist.
Everyone strives for perfection, but what exactly is it? What I think makes someone perfect, others may completely disagree. We are all unique with different flaws, wants, experiences and characteristics. All of us are attracted to different people and different personalities, so this idea of 'perfect' does not exist because it means different things to everyone.

5) People that you love will leave eventually.
It is said that you can have too much of a good thing, and sometimes that is true. One day you may have someone that makes you unconditionally happy and the next day that may leave. This hurts like a bitch but eventually it will be okay, it just wasn't meant to be.

6) If it is meant to be, it will be.
Fate. It’s a funny thing. Some say it’s an excuse to be lazy and not live your life but I disagree. I believe that if something is meant to happen, it will. Now if you think back on your life, there must have been a time where everything worked out and fell into place, as if by magic. I know that this has happened to me countless times, but you don’t realize it until much later. I mean sure, you shouldn’t use this as an excuse to sit all day and do nothing, but you definitely should go live your life and all the right opportunities will catch you and everything that is meant to happen, will.

7) It is pointless to compare yourself to others.
How many times have you compared yourself to someone else? Why? Someone else is always going to have something that you want, someone else is going to be smarter, they're going to be richer or prettier. But there is no point in comparing yourself to others, because they will never be you and you will never be them. Just embrace your flaws and what you got because you are your own person and that is pretty awesome.

8) Thing won't always go your way.
Life won't always go your way and you need to accept it because the sooner you do, the easier it gets.
Life will send challenges your way and you will need to learn to overcome them, and when you do you will grow as a person.

9) Sometimes, it is your fault.
A lot of people have a hard time accepting the fact that they are at fault and are too mighty to admit it. However having too much pride to admit this may ruin many relationships with others that you will regret losing, so when it truly is your fault just accept the fact and take responsibility for your own actions.

10) Don't let fear stop you from living your life.
Many people put things off because they are scared of what may happen, even though it may seem scary saying 'Yes' may open up many more opportunities for you and make a lot of new memories. You should not put your life on hold, live while you can and make the most of everything.

I had to make my way to London for a university applicant day and I dragged a friend to go along with me. If you're going to go to London, might as well make a day out of it - I mean come on, it's LONDON! So we were your typical tourists.

The London Bridge, just WOW. It was such a nice and sunny day, it was so great seeing all the tourist attractions.

You know what, I could never-ever figure out how these street performers manage to float in the air so when I got  home I had to google it and it's quite interesting but I won't spoil it for you.

After sight-seeing we made our way to Oxford Street for some shopping because why not, and I find it incredible how every single shop has artwork or things for sale that feature 'I love London' in some way, and if I would have the money I would buy it all!

This was my first time going to Oxford Street, and I loved it! Even though there's so many people, it was pretty cool. I tried my best to capture the busyness but it was hard to get a good picture without being pushed or shoved, whoops.

The thing that I was most excited to go to London for is to visit their Chipotle because it seems like it is a big hit over in The States so I really wanted to give it a go (because I'm soOo American), and what can I say? It did not disappoint. It was only a ten minute walk from Oxford Street and the layout of the streets was so simple it was hard to get lost which is a huge plus for me.

I had ordered the chicken burrito with white rice, mild salsa and cheese along with chips and fresh salsa on the side. Honestly it was one of the best things I have ever had, but my excitement to go to Chipotle might have been clouding my judgement a bit. But no doubt that it was delicious. I cannot wait to go back.

After our very late lunch we made our way back to Oxford Street as our energy levels were back up and so we shopped some more. I love how late these shops are open until! Everything here closes at around 5 ish. I did not manage to purchase much as we spent most of our time in Selfridges and I spotted the Givenchy that I've been wanting and that cost around £1200 and there is no way I can afford that. So all downhearted we went home.

That just made me realise how much I love being in a busy city as right now I live in a very rural area even though I spent most of my life being in cities. So I'm hoping that this September I am able to move to London for university and I get to experience this every day. I guess I am a city girl at heart.

So I have been MIA for over a week now but I do have a good reason, I've moved house! (and had no internet) I now live in the middle of nowhere, and it's not that I do not like it here but I have been here over a week now and it still doesn't feel like home one bit. I still find myself longing to go home to my old house and I really don't like this feeling.

I thought I would just talk about that feeling of uncertainty and not being able to feel at home anywhere.
From a young age not only I moved from house to house but I moved countries, leaving loved ones behind and having to start over. Even though I have been experiencing this from the time I was a little girl, it still does not make anything less difficult. I grew up the most in my old house as I was there from ages eleven until eighteen so I kinda got used to the place and it felt safe to me; but there was plenty of times where I felt like a stranger in my own house and in my own life.

Taking it back to 2011, I was fourteen and I got a chance to go and visit old family friends in the States and from that moment when I stepped of the plane onto America - there was a feeling inside of me going like "Welcome Home" and I honestly cannot explain it. Just being in America felt so normal and familiar to me even though it was the first time I went there. Anyway after a few weeks it was time go to back to England and I hated it because I could not recognise my own house or my own room and I could get settled for over two months. Anyway as time went on I eventually got used to it and then last year I had to fly back home home where I am originally from - Lithuania and I was only there for a week but I managed to connect with so many people that made going back to England impossible. So once again I felt lost and longing back to home, to realising that this was my home, yet it felt the opposite. It took me over half a year to finally get settled into my house only to move to a whole another town, leaving my friends and family. Once again I feel completely out of place, and I don't know where I belong.

Which brings me to my point, it is amazing how people can get attached to others so much, distorting their reality, how this feeling of not belonging anywhere can make you feel like a stranger in your own life and the lengths people are willing to go to feel happy again.
